Synopsis: I’m Coming Home is a poetic exploration that will challenge the idea of spectatorship as helpless and passive viewers of other people’s tragedies by acting and connecting a personal misfortune to a mass disaster. The short film explores the director’s vision in response to the South Korean sinking ferry tragedy after opening up an old wound. Through her voice, the director connects her family loss to the family of the 250 victims of the MV Sewol disaster to send a message of love and purity instilled in a mother-child bond.
" When every hope is lost, a message of love and forgiveness gracefully emerges from the depth of our hearts. "
